Voice Switching Gateway

The Vmux-120 is a customer-located device, fulfilling the need for a low capacity remote voice switching and data-integrating gateway for both IP and leased line TDM networks.

Vmux-120 enables corporations to effectively establish a cost-effective voice switching solution catering to all intracorporate voice communication needs as well as optimizing central resource utilization via service oversubscription.

Using standard G.723.1 compression algorithms together with RAD’s unique TDMoIP multiplexing, enables bandwidth optimization beyond that typically delivered by standard voice-over-packet network solutions, leaving more bandwidth for data transport. The Vmux-120 is a compact, 1U high, half-19” wide unit that can be mounted in a 19” rack. It supports four FXS ports, four BRI ports or a single PRI port and internal DC or AC power supply.
