Televersal Telecommunications Inc., based in Turkey, provides international call carriers with access to an efficient global network for transporting voice on the Internet with little or no additional capital expenditure on their part. With major stations in Miami, London, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, New Delhi, Singapore, Vienna, and the Middle East, Televersal provides its partners full access to more than 200,000 ports worldwide and capacity of over 2 billion minutes per month. Together with major partner Ntera, a leading ITSP (Internet Telephony Service Provider) operating in North America and Mexico, Televersal now offers an international switching capacity of four billion minutes monthly.
Following the Turkish government’s decision to liberalize the Turkish telecommunication market, Televersal was one of the first companies to sign the landmark August 2004 privatization agreement and to meet the strict infrastructure requirements of the Turkish Regulatory Body and the incumbent Turk Telekom. “Since the privatization agreement, Televersal is the company that has made the largest network infrastructure investment in Turkey, establishing points of presence (POPs) in 11 cities with 24 PBX switch points. With this layout we can cover the entire country, and are one of the few new carriers that have already begun to provide services,” states Can Kıral, Chairman of Televersal Telecommunications Inc. “So that we can offer our customers better margins to more destinations, Televersal capitalizes on the latest advances in telecom and operations technology available in the market.”
