Many services require voice, signaling and data traffic to be separated and directed across different networks. In traditional TDM-based networks, a digital cross connect would perform this function. With the advent of TDMoIP technology with IP addressing at DS0 and DS1 levels, it would be highly cost-effective to integrate DS0 level grooming and cross-connect functions into the same platforms.

RAD’s IPmux-8/16 gateway acts as a distributed cross-connect over IP networks and E1/T1 links. The capability to map DS0s from E1/T1 ports to both IP and E1/T1 circuits provides flexible grooming options.
