Next generation service providers are building high speed metro networks using Gigabit Ethernet, packet over SONET or wireless technologies to offer IP ports to corporations, institutions and ISPs. Bundling voice and leased line services over the same packet infrastructure is achieved using TDMoIP technology for circuit extension over IP. It is also important to provide central site redundancy in order to exceed PSTN reliability.

Our Solution

Gigabit Ethernet switch/routers now support a number of redundancy features to allow the provisioning of a service with alternate routing capabilities (e.g., OSPF). In the event that the connection to the central site should fail, voice services would immediately be rerouted to a backup central site.
