RAD’s Megaplex-2100/2104 is an integrated Ethernet switch and TDM multiplexer supporting over 50 I/O modules with a broad range of user interfaces including E1, T1, FXS, FXO, E&M and ISDN BRI interfaces for voice, as well as serial interfaces such as RS-232, V.35, RS-530 and Ethernet 10/100BaseTx for data.

Towards the network, the Megaplex not only supports the traditional E1, T1, HDSL, fiber and V.35 interfaces, but also has full TDMoIP capability to extend TDM-based voice and data over IP and Ethernet networks.

Reliability is achieved on a system level by inserting a redundant main link, common logic and power supply into the Megaplex. Any combination of main link interfaces can help ensure network redundancy over the same or different media types and multiple event driven databases ensure flexible rerouting options.
