Our Solution

RAD’s Vmux product line is ideal for both private T1/E1 voice networking and disaster recovery applications because it is a scalable, compact product that can compress a full T1/E1 voice circuit into only 128Kbps of IP bandwidth. Since the Vmux employs bandwidth-on-demand, it does not consume bandwidth when not required. The VMUX family uses TDMoIP (CV), a simple, evolutionary alternative to VoIP, that delivers better voice quality and uses less bandwidth. TDMoIP (CV) is tolerant of packet loss, latency and jitter and its transparency to signaling protocols protects investments in legacy PBXs to ensure functionality is not compromised. Furthermore, since HFC infrastructure is usually physically separate from Telco circuits, overall system reliability is enhanced. The Vmux-110 also includes router functionality with DHCP and NAT translation and has a broad range of voice interfaces including T1, E1, FXS, FXO and E&M.
