RAD’s
IPmux extends T1/E1 circuits transparently over Ethernet-based data networks, eliminating the need for leased lines, and transparently supporting Voice, Frame Relay, ATM and LAN Data over IP. The Ethernet network can be built on fiber, coax or fixed wireless infrastructures. In the case of Cable/HFC infrastructure, it is important that there is strict QoS to ensure ample, low latency bandwidth - irrespective of network load. Symmetrical Ethernet over RF solutions that can provide reliable upstream and downstream bandwidth are recommended since QoS is easier to control. T1/E1 circuits can also be delivered over DOCSIS modems, but strict UGS profiles are required. The
IPmux-11 also includes an integrated Ethernet switch with rate limiting capability to ensure QoS in the upstream.
