RAD's pseudowire gateway family includes the Gmux pseudowire gateway for central sites, IPmux pseudowire gateway, VMUX voice trunking gateway, and Megaplex multiservice access node. These devices support transparent circuit emulation over Ethernet, IP and MPLS networks. The Vmux offers voice compression for voice trunking applications.
Pseudowire technology enables service providers to migrate their revenue-generating legacy voice and data services to cost-effective packet-switched transport networks, minimizing capital expenses and operating costs. Enterprises can take advantage of new Ethernet-based service offerings to also run voice, video and legacy data over the packet-switched network, without having to incur additional costs as a result of forklift upgrades to CPE and PBXs or staff retraining.
Gmux-2000 TDM Pseudowire Gateway High-capacity central-site TDM pseudowire gateway for extending TDM-based services over packet-switched networks. Gmux-2000 transports up to 196 individual E1/T1 links or two channelized STM-1/OC-3 circuits over two Gigabit Ethernet network links.
IPmux-14 pseudowire gateway for branch offices incorporates four channelized E1/T1 TDM user ports, with cross connect, and serial user data ports. Fiber and copper Ethernet uplink interfaces.
IPmux-1E provides analog, ISDN BRI and E1/T1 user ports with echo cancellation, and fiber or copper Ethernet uplink interfaces.
The IPmux-8 pseudowire gateway supports 4 or 8 T1/E1 ports over single or dual Ethernet uplinks (10/100BaseT).
IPmux-16 pseudowire gateway is a carrier-class, NEBS certified device that supports up to 16 T1/E1 or two T3/E3 ports over single or dual Ethernet uplinks. It is ideal as a central site solution.
IPmux-24 TDM Pseudowire Gateway IPmux-24 TDM pseudowire gateway features four channelized E1 or T1 user ports and three SFP- or UTP-based Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet network ports. It incorporates all pseudowire encapsulation standards, including TDMoIP, CESoPSN, SAToP, and HDLCoPSN.
