TETRA Radio Traffic over Ethernet, IP and MPLS Networks

RAD enables reliable delivery of TETRA V+D (voice and data) and TEDS (TETRA enhanced data services) traffic from TDM TETRA base stations and EBTS to MSO sites over new packet switched networks (PSNs). The IPmux-1E, IPmux-16 and IPmux-24 TDM pseudowire access gateways use TDM over IP (TDMoIP) technology to support transparent PMR transmissions over IP, MPLS and Ethernet transport. The IPmux portfolio’s TDM over packet capabilities include advanced clock recovery functionality to overcome packet delay, delay variation and packet loss inaccuracies. This allows cost-effective packet networks to be used for professional mobile radio connectivity and ensures consistent operations, which are critical for public safety and emergency organization, as well as for transportation and utility companies.
