High-capacity central-site TDM pseudowire gateway for extending TDM-based services over packet-switched networks. Gmux-2000 transports up to 196 individual E1/T1 links or two channelized STM-1/OC-3 circuits over two Gigabit Ethernet network links. As a carrier-grade voice trunking platform, the Gmux-2000 provides up to 16:1 voice compression to minimize the bandwidth required for voice transmissions over packet networks.
